PLATEAUX - NEUE POSITIONEN INTERNATIONALER DARSTELLENDER KUNST

PLATEAUX ist ein internationales Produktionsfestival für junge KünstlerInnen im Bereich von experimentellem Theater, Performance und Live Art. Initiiert durch das KÜNSTLERHAUS MOUSONTURM in Koproduktion mit der DEUTSCHE BANK STIFTUNG, bietet das Festival eine professionelle Plattform für neue Arbeiten. Die ausgewählten Projekte erhalten neben dem Produktionsbudget, technische und dramaturgische Beratung, Proberesidenzen und Unterstützung bei der internationalen Vernetzung. Das PLATEAUX FESTIVAL produziert einmal im Jahr bis zu sieben neue Produktionen, die während des zehntägigen Festivals im April uraufgeführt werden.

Plateaux Festival 2010

Ça y est! Geschafft. Die Produktionen des kommenden Festivals PLATEAUX - NEUE POSITIONEN INTERNATIONALER DARSTELLENDER KUNST 2010 stehen fest!

Intensive Monate voller Sichtungen, Gespräche und Reisen liegen hinter uns. Auch im zehnten Festivaljahr fiel die Entscheidung nicht leicht. Fast 200 KünstlerInnen aus 30 Ländern haben sich dieses Jahr mit über 120 Projekten aus den Bereichen LiveArt, Theater, Performance, Installation und neue Medien beworben. Die junge und vitale internationale Performanceszene boomt und immer neue Zusammenarbeiten entstehen.
Koproduziert durch die Deutsche Bank Stiftung präsentiert Plateaux auch 2010 wieder junge, internationale KünstlerInnen, die in ihren Projekten neue Formen des performativen Arbeitens und Betrachtens vorstellen.

Gemeinsam mit dem künstlerischen Beirat wurden für das Festival 8 Konzepte ausgewählt, die in Residenzen am Künstlerhaus Mousonturm entwickelt, geprobt und vom 22. April bis 02. Mai 2010 zur Premiere gebracht werden.

In Kürze werden die ersten KünstlerInnen ihre Proben vor Ort beginnen. Der Video- und Performancekünstler Dennis Feser wird bereits den Februar dazu nutzen, Frankfurt vom Mousonturm aus in gänzlich anderen Perspektiven und Ausblicken einzufangen; seine Videoarbeit, eine Auftragsproduktion von Plateaux, wird dann im Festival zu erleben sein.
Die Premieren der Festivalproduktionen werden ergänzt durch ein breites Rahmenprogramm aus Gesprächen, Installationen und Videos, etwa der Erstpräsentation von Björn Drenkwitz' (D) Videoarbeit ‚Premiere', Interventionen sowie spannenden Gastspielen, u. a. der deutschen Erstaufführungen von Cupola Bobber (USA), Miet Warlop (BE) und hancock & kelly live (UK).
Für food & beverages und ein geselliges Ambiente wird herr mika in der Cristallobar mit täglich wechselnden Speisen, Drinks und Gesprächsrunden sorgen. Passend zur 10. Ausgabe von Plateaux, wird es an seinem 'Kiosque' zudem Verschiedenes rundum das zurückliegende erfolgreiche Festivaljahrzehnt geben, zum Schmökern und Stöbern für alle Interessierten.

KÜNSTLERHAUS MOUSONTURM

PLATEAUX is an international production festival for young artists in the field of experimental theatre, performance and live-art. Initiated by KÜNSTLERHAUS MOUSONTURM and co-produced by DEUTSCHE BANK STIFTUNG, the festival aims to promote new experimental forms of performance by providing them with a professional platform. The festival offers beside the production budgets, technical and artistic advice, rehearsal residencies and connections into international networks. PLATEAUX FESTIVAL produces once a year up to seven new productions to be premiered in the 10 days festival in April.

Plateaux Festival 2010

Ça y est! Finally. The productions for the upcoming festival PLATEAUX - NEW POSITIONS IN INTERNATIONAL PERFORMING ARTS 2010 have been selected!

Several intense months of conversations, travel and going through applications lie behind us. The selection process for the tenth edition was as difficult as in the years before. This year almost 200 artists from 30 countries applied with over 120 projects in the fields of LiveArt, theatre, performance, installation and new media. The young and energetic performance scene is booming and new collaborations are being created constantly.
In co-production with the Deutsche Bank Foundation, Plateaux 2010 will once again be presenting young, international artists, who are introducing new forms of performative work and presentation in their projects.

Together with the artistic advisory committee, 8 concepts were chosen for the festival. They will be developed and rehearsed in residency at Künstlerhaus Mousonturm and premiere in the period from April 22nd to May 2nd, 2010.

The first group of artists will begin rehearsing on site shortly. The video and performance artist Dennis Feser will already begin in February with capturing Frankfurt in entirely new perspectives and angles from the Mousonturm vantage point; his video work, commissioned by Plateaux, will then be exhibited during the festival. The premieres of the festival productions will be accompanied by a broad fringe program of talks, installations and videos, beside others the debut of Björn Drenkwitz' (D) video work ‘Premiere', interventions as well as exciting guest performances e.g. the German premieres of Cupola Bobber (USA), Miet Warlop (BE) and hancock & kelly live (UK).
herr mika will be providing food & beverages and a comfy atmosphere in the Cristallobar with a daily new selection of food and drink and conversations. To mark the 10th edition of Plateaux, there will also be a 'Kiosque' with all manners of things associated with the successful past festival decade, to browse and poke around in for all who are interested.
