Elena Rose Light

elena rose light (they/them, b.1991) is a choreographer, performer, and writer from Southern California (Micqanaqa’n) living and working in Berlin. Their work is rooted in the potential of antiracist, accessible, queer, and trans somatics to reorganize systems of thought and social codes. elena received a BA in French and art history from Yale University, where they first became enamored with experimental performance. They went on to perform and present works in New York City (Lenapehoking) before relocating to Germany to pursue their MA at the ATW Institut Gießen. elenaroselight.com
