Natalija Vladisavljević & Collaborators

NatalijaVladisavljević is a choreographer, author and dancer with Down syndrome. Since 1999, she has worked in the theatre and dance collective gathered in Per.Art in Novi Sad, Serbia. She is the author of the concept and choreographic scores of the piece “Dance in the 21st Century”.

She is the author of a videogroup lecture performance “DIS_Lecture on: Work in Pitch Dark”. She is a performer in the piece “Dis_Sylphide” and author of the choreographic reinterpretation of Mary Wigman’s „Witch Dance“ within „Dis_Sylphide“. She has performed in numerous performances at festivals, theatres and museums in Serbia and Germany, as well as in Slovenia, Italy, Montenegro, Iran and Japan.

Vladisavljević was a lead artist teaching at dance laboratory “Dance, Disability, Politics and the Body” in Kampnagel within the project “Europe Beyond Access”. She has co-directed various workshop together with Saša Asentić, Alexandre Achour and Olivera Kovačević Crnjanski: with disabled and nondisabled actors in MünchnerKammerspiele, with disabled and nondisabled dancers at the festival of contemporary dance and performance “Pokretnica” in Novi Sad (Serbia), and with students of the master program Choreography and Performance at the University of Giessen.

She has published two books with poems, short stories and plays. Her writing has been translated into English and German.
