Humorous, thoughtful, critical, touching and powerful: The 22nd Nippon Connection Film Festival finally returns to the silver screen! For six days, the Japanese Film Festival presents more than 100 current short and feature-length films across all genres, from arthouse and documentary to blockbusters, animation and music films. This year’s focus “Stories of Youth” deals with adolescence and the challenges young people in Japan are facing. Many filmmakers connect live from Japan to the cinema hall via video call or even travel to Frankfurt to talk to the audience. Lectures, performances, concerts and interactive workshops complement the program.
