A Choreographer’s Score

Mousonturm Studio 1

Buchpräsentation/artist talk

A few years ago, when Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker revived four of her earliest works, the question arose whether or not to take advantage of the occasion to make a notation of them – and in which way this could be done. Her ensuing talks with performance theorist Bojana Cvejić on the feasibility of this endeavour spawned the opulent publication A Choreographer’s Score with descriptions, drawings, photos and reviews, as well as DVDs containing interviews and demonstrations of movement material from Fase, Rosas danst Rosas, Elena’s Aria and Bartók. A second volume followed on the productions En Atendant and Cesena. On Saturday, Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker and Bojana Cvejić will present both volumes and the productions that they are based on. They will illustrate their talk with film excerpts, moderated by Stefan Apostolou-Hölscher (dance theorist).
