Showcase Beat Le Mot

(DE)

Animal Farm

Mousonturm Saal

Performance

“All animals are equal”, it says in Georg Orwell’s world famous fable. Revolution has erupted on the farm and the pigs have freed the exploited animals. An animalistic spring is in the air. From now on, all work shall be meaningful, voluntary and fair and wealth is to be distributed justly. Yet democracy is exhausting. And so the pigs soon proclaim: “All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others.” Revolutions that fail in this way are an insult to the performance all-stars of Showcase Beat Le Mot. They have therefore thoroughly redecorated the animal farm. They enjoy engaging in obfuscation and have barricaded all known paths of interpretation. This is the only way for the story to find a different ending. Winner of the Youth Theatre Prize at the Heidelberger Stückemarkt 2014.
