FREISCHWIMMER Ausbrennen – Songs von der Selbstverwertung oder Melodien für den Feierabend

Mousonturm Studio 1

Performance/Concert/Other

Burnout – the number of people affected by this fashionable widespread affliction is still growing. Most of them are at their most productive age. The economical losses are enormous. Experts argue over definitions, causes, measures and therapies. Berlin director Luise Voigt inquires with her team into the role that work plays in life, how it can intervene so deeply in one’s identity. The burning workers are the workers of today. And if they’re not burning yet, then they have to kindle the fore. Ausbrennen – Songs von der Selbstverwertung oder Melodien für den Feierabend (Burn Out – Songs of Self-Exploitation or Melodies for After Work) is a concert, live audio play and performance – a battle cry in favour of a workless evening for the burning and burnt-out lone wolf and an attempt at a new worker’s song. Music! Music!
