Conan Baby

Performance/Choreography

Conan Baby is a nuclear fusion of the SKART performances Conan the Barbarian and Conan the Destroyer. As a custom tailor-made best-of, this grande finale sails straight through the worlds of Conan – the flagship European. Skart reveals how our protagonist, starting out as the leader of a West-European band of truth-seekers in the merciless battle for individual happiness and a meaningful existence, son begins to transform himself.
The unhappy and lonely victim-perpetrator becomes a man untainted by pain, capable of a life free from fear and inconsistence: he mutates into a fascist.

In their critique of current social tendencies towards neo-conservatism, the Biedermeier relaunch and suburban escapism, SKART’s material-intensive performance formats make the grade with charming snottiness as well as classic acting interludes and invasive carelessness.
