Eduardo Fukushima

(BR)

Crooked Man

Mousonturm Saal

Choreography/Dance

The solo was created in 2013 during a residency in Taiwan with the Cloud Gate Dance Theatre, whose artistic director Lin Hwai-min was Fukushima’s mentor for a year. As the “crooked man”, he executes a passage along the entire length of the space. The balance of weakness and strength, gravity and elevation are reflected in the constant shifting relationship between body postures and movements in this precisely constructed piece: a “choreography that passes through the eyes of the spectator.” (E.F.)
