Das Geburtstagsgeschenk

Mousonturm Studio 2

Faltkurs

Bank notes are made of top-quality and brightly printed paper, which can be used over and over again. So sturdy that it can resist the daily stress of many hands and their bacterial cultures. But bank notes are not only a practical form of currency, they also have their creative uses: at festival occasions, it is often better to give a gift of money. However, the tricky question then is: how do we enhance the value of our gift through personal creative input to make it both more original as well as personal?
Hendrik Quast and Maika Knoblich have decided to give Mousonturm the gift of a folded wetland habitat for its 25th birthday by compiling an ecological and monetary ecosystem of ideas and bank notes, of symbolic and material values, of flora and fauna. At the paper folding course in the bank vault room of Mousonturm, interested birthday guests can learn all about elementary folding techniques and recent developments in Eurogami.
