Jetse Batelaan / Theater Artemis

('s-Hertogenbosch)

(…..) This piece doesn’t give a shit that its title is vague.

Mousonturm Saal

ALL IN/Theater

A long time ago, a very hirsute singer sang: “Is this the real life, is this just fantasy?” Just for your information, it’s a really cool song. But we ask ourselves, why didn’t the singer ever get a clear answer? Because everyone thinks that life is normal? That we shouldn’t pose any questions? If everything is so super clear, why don’t we feel anything when we pinch ourselves in the arm? Stress your mom out if you can’t stand our doubts, but don’t bother us with your securities.

We think.
We doubt.
Fuck you!

Why do we have to understand what actually cannot be comprehended?

By the way, that song by Queen doesn’t have anything at all to do with our piece. It’s not even played. It’s just an example. Or is this also not allowed anymore? Are you going to bitch at the box office after the piece, because the promo text isn’t accurate? Go ahead. There’s more that doesn’t add up.
