Kerstin and Sandra Grether – twin sisters, songwriters, singers, guitarists, keyboarders and leaders of Doctorella – have always done things that never existed before: as painfully young small-town teens, they created a fanzine, moved to Cologne shortly afterward and wrote clever, astute, unique articles in the guy-dominated German pop landscape of Spex and the pop feuilleton and later mothered the “Slutwalk”. Their songs impress with strong melodies, touching confessions and fine, brisk guitars. Above all, they simply want: to offer solace and provide drive in a cold world. After their debut album Drogen und Psychologen (ZickZack) 2012, their second album is now finally appearing in autumn.
