“I don’t know how to describe our music”, says Tayor Hollingsworth, one half of the Dead Fingers and member of Conor Oberst’s Mystic Valley Band, and his wife Kate Taylor, the other half and little sister of Maria Taylor from Azure Ray, adds: “Country-Rock’n’Roll, Folk, Americana, that’s what people tend to label us as.” Now, the American couple, who some say resemble duos such as Lee Hazewood and Nancy Sinatra, are on tour with the Canadian quintet The Deep Dark Woods, who with their fiddles and banjos are even more deeply mired in the genre, with a splendid folk and country double bill.
