Hell is other people – as Sartre knew. Now Belarusian underground star Pavel Pryashko comes along to tell us in a captivating manner about the real hell: the suburbs of Minsk. A world between rhinestones and mobile phone shops, alcohol and anonymous blocks of flats. In his brilliant text, Pryashko gives a voice to this world and a colour to the tired, drab, uneventful life in it. Sitting in military tents, we are taken along and become a part of this theatrical snapshot of a distant reality.
