(BE/Frankfurt)

Drugs kept me alive

Mousonturm Saal

Performance/Choreography

Jan Fabre and Antony Rizzi share more than twenty years of close collaboration. Drugs kept me alive, which first premiered at Mousonturm in March 2013, is a piece tailor-made by Fabre for the born performer Rizzi: a monolog for a survivor. Quick-wittedly balancing over  the yawning abyss. A man, who has lived life to a full, always one step ahead of the scythe of death. His break-neck speed is his secret weapon, his sense of humour a strong drug and his accomplices have illustrious names such as ecstasy, ketamine, GBH, poppers, speed, cocaine, or 2C-B, 2C-1, 2C-7. But what truly keeps him alive is his desire for intensity and ecstasy.
