Since the 1980’s, Funny van Dannen has inspired listeners with chansonesque folk songs about love, misery and madness. On his 15th album “Alles gut, Motherfucker“ released in September 2018, the songwriter, painter and storyteller stays true to his usual bizarre-imaginative self. “Der kühle Hauch” mocks the fetish of sensitivity, “Forever Yin, Forever Yang” targets the yoga-bliss of the Central European autumn years of life, wistfully with the typical Funny ambivalence. “Eiskalter Mörder” finally gives a children’s classic its due and in “Giftige Kerne” horses watch people vomiting for a change. Aside from light-hearted pieces such as “Halbnackter Mann” and “Tanzen beim Spazierengehen”, political songs as always also have their place, such as “Jemand blutet” and “Immer diese Religionen”. Funny will be playing these new songs live for the very first time on his extended tour throughout Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
