In 2016, cultural anthropologist Gloria Wekker wrote White Innocence: Paradoxes of Colonialism and Race – probably one of the most important contributions to decolonialism in years. In it, she analyses media events, historical source material quantitative data and thick descriptions to relentlessly uncover the ways in which the Netherlands denies the coloniality of its own past and present in favour of liberal “post-racial” innocence.

Gloria Wekker will virtually attend impossible bodies #2 in form of an exclusive video interview and explain important points of her book.
