Gregor Praml trifft Uwe Dierksen

Lokal im Mousonturm, teilbestuhlt

Concert/Discussion

Have you ever tried to play a trombone? You might just be able to blow into it and produce some sort of sound, but where do the individual tones actually come from? You have to pull at just the right point to hit the right note. And then there is also the mouthpiece, which helps determine the pitch… Trombonist Uwe Dierksen is a person who knows all too well, how all this works. He studied in Hanover, Hamburg and London. He is also an integral member of the Ensemble Modern – the Solist Ensemble for Contemporary Music based in Frankfurt am Main. In addition, Dierksen has taught and lectured at prestigious schools in Bremen, Graz and Miami. His own projects range from compositions for the stage to film music, but musical outreach for children is also extremely important to him. The start of the third round of Gregor Praml’s LOKAL Listener thus promises to be a truly exciting encounter!
