Biography
Michał Borczuch

Michał Borczuch born in 1979 in Kraków. A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts and the Faculty of Theatre Directing, and a scholar of The Rolex Mentor and Protégé Arts Initiative Programme for the most promising young artists from all over the world, with Patrice Chéreau as his mentor. His first independent work was “KOMPOnents” by Małgorzata Owsiany. Among his later works were: Polish XIX century classic, Aleksander Fredro’s “A Great Man For a Small Business”, were he played a double role – as director and as a stage designer; Leonce and Lena by Goerge Büchner, Lulu by Frank Wedekind. In 2009 at TR Warszawa Borczuch prepared his adaptation of Oscar Wilde’s “Dorian Gray”. At the same time, he developed the widely acclaimed version of “The Sorrows of Young Werther”, at the Stary Teatr in Kraków. 2012 is also the year of Borczuch’s début on the stage of Düsseldorf’s Schauspielhaus, where he produced a play based on “The Unwomanly Face Of War”, the celebrated novel by Sviatlana Aliaksandrawna Alieksiyevich. His shows “The Apocalypse and All About My Mother” won the Grand Prix at the Divine Comedy festival in Krakow in two consecutive years (2015 and 2016). In 2017, he received the prestigious Polish award – Polityka Passport, for original and moving theatre, full of empathy, and at the same time carefully and not ironically analyzing the formation and actions of our ego, the mechanisms of memory, and the role of art in life.

Wojtek Zrałek-Kossakowski

Wojtek Zrałek-Kossakowski geboren 1982 in Warschau, ist ein Künstler, der in den Bereichen Theater, Musik und Kulturanimation tätig ist .  Im Theater arbeitet er als Regisseur, Dramaturg und Komponist.  Seine Texte als auch die Inszenierungen finden bei den Festivaljurys in ganz Polen Beachtung, u.a. bei Klasyka Żywa Festival, Kontrapunkt Festival, Radio- und Fernsehtheater Festival “Dwa Teatry“.  Abseits des Theaters, ist er auch in der Musikwelt unterwegs, wo seine Hörspiele viel Anerkennung finden.  Der musikalische Kurator im Kulturzentrum Nowy Wspaniały Świat in Warschau. Der Urheber vom MUSICATON Programm in Rahmen des 7. Berlin Biennale und vom Hörspiele Festival „Do usłyszenia na Placu Defilad”. Gelegentlich auch als DJ tätig. Als Musikproduzent arbeitete er u.a. mit Candelaria Saenz Valiente und Marcin Masecki. 2013 war er der stellvertretende künstlerische Leiter und Co-Autor des Programms vom „Łódź Czterech Kultur” Festival . In Jahren 2016-17 war er als Dramaturg bei dem Warschauer Teatr Studio beschäftigt. Wojtek Zrałek-Kossakowski ist außerdem ein Übersetzer und Publizist. Seine Texte wurden u.a. bei „Krytyka Polityczna”, „Gazeta Wyborcza“, „Glissando” „Kultura Popularna” veröffentlicht.

Biography
Arthur Romanowski

Arthur Romanowski arbeitet als Autor, Performer und Regisseur und studiert Angewandte Theaterwissenschaft in Gießen. Nach langjähriger Spielerfahrung am Maxim Gorki Theater und am Staatstheater Wiesbaden in Projekten von Armin Petras, Felicitas Brucker, Carlos Manuel und Tiago Rodriguez entstehen seit 2010 eigene Autoren- und Regiearbeiten. Für „Irgendwas für Irgendwen an Irgendeinem Tag im Juni“ erhielt er 2018 den Preis der Körber Stiftung Studio Junge Regie. Im Juni 2019 entsteht eine Produktion am Jungen Nationaltheater Mannheim.
