Kate McIntosh/Jo Randerson/Footnote Dance

Behavioral research as a vivid dance performance – for Hullapolloi, the Footnote Dance Company ensemble transforms itself into a group of odd creatures: a swarming, rivaling, cuddling clan whose social behavior and structures go far beyond anything we have ever seen. Plenty of black humor rises here when the New Zealanders Kate McIntosh and Jo Randerson stage their perspective on social and political group dynamics.

Artists Talk after the performance on Saturday with Kate McIntosh, Louise Potiki Bryant (Māori choreographer), Malia Johnston (choreographer) and Deidre Tarrant (Footnote Dance Company): “New Zealand contemporary dance and its influences”.
