ImPermanências * Impermanencies

Mousonturm Studio 2

Performance

A body wrapped in delicate wire mesh: seemingly endless loops of wire surround the performer, restrict her movements, hold, but also protect her. As in many of her living installation pieces, Vera Sala interprets the body in ImPermanências as constantly being in a state of regeneration and transformation. The prize-winning dancer and choreographer, professor for communication and art at the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo explores the insecurity, humiliation, disfiguration of the body and moment in which the boundaries between the inside and outside of the body dissolve.
