Over the last years, Christof Lauer performed on all continents and at festivals from Montreux to Havanna in a wide range of formations. From an early age on, he has been praised as one of the most important jazz musicians in Germany. He was a member of the jazz ensemble of the Hessian Broadcasting Association and is a recipient of the German Record Critic’s Award, the SWR Jazz Prize and the Hesse Jazz Prize. True to his credo “Jazz is communication” Lauer has invited two outstanding co-musicians to join him in Frankfurt: Patrice Héral, bristling with massive creativity and unbelievable flexibility due to his past collaborations with many international artists in various different art forms and Dieter Ilg, who knows how to exploit his instruments’ potential like no other.
