The great storytellers and independent queens are back. On two days, the Casady sisters Bianca and Sierra will present their new, fifth album Tales of a GrassWidow that they produced in cooperation with the Icelandic composer Valgeir Sigurõsson; contributing guests include Antony Hegarty, among others. CocoRosie still mix a multitude of styles and references into their experimental songs – from hip hop to reggae, from folk to opera – and form odd pop songs that, according to the two sisters, are based on the “most painful of all experiences”. By the way: their live performances are rated as exalted events in which the two artists play with their gender roles and let their artistic free spirits run wild.
