In December 2012, Scott Matthew gave an exclusive concert at Mousonturm only with cover versions and accompanied solely by a guitarist. His fourth album Unlearned now just recently appeared as a straight cover album featuring many of the pieces first performed here. Songs by Whitney Houston, the Bee Gees, Radiohead, The Jesus & the Mary Chain, John Denver, Kris Kristofferson and Neil Young – every song a white page, which Matthew develops into a new symphony of sounds, fantasies and emotions. While the notes remain the same, and the lyrics too, everything else is nothing but Scott Matthew. At the upcoming Mousonturm concert, he will be playing many of these cover versions in addition to original pieces of his own.
