Künstler*innenhaus Mousonturm

Yuriy Sych, pianist and playwright, brings influences from his birthplace in the West Ukraine and a degree in classical piano into the young Frankfurter Contrast Trio, which moreover includes Tim Roth on bass and Martin Standke on drums. Their cool, jazzy sound features casual detours into pop, techno and hip hop. In 2008, the band received a Jazz Scholarship from the City of Frankfurt and contributed original arrangements of Wagner compositions live to a production of Shakespeare’s The Merchant of Venice at the Schauspiel Frankfurt. At Mousonturm, the versatile band will be celebrating the release of their new album.
