Norwegian saxophonist Marius Neset, born 1986, has caused a greater stir internationally and more incredulous amazement among critics and audiences over the last years than any other young European jazz musician. Those who’ve experienced his acclaimed performances at the Jazzfest Berlin, the Jazzwoche Burghausen, the JazzBaltica Festival (as a duo with Michael Wollny) or at the Cologne Philharmonic Hall, were surprised to find: “What Marius Neset does with the saxophone is nothing more than a step into a new dimension of this instrument” (Süddeutsche Zeitung). British media say the same. The Telegraph calls him a “miracle”. The Guardian lists Neset as one of the greatest new discoveries in jazz . On this tour, he will be presenting his new album.

“Marius Neset combines Brecker’s power and Jan Garbarek’s tonal delicacy, […]. He is on his way to being one of the biggest new draws on the circuit”. John Fordham, GUARDIAN (UK)

“… saxophonist Marius Neset is a marvel. He makes his instrument dance like a gazelle and soar like an eagle, and he’s an ingenious composer too”. Ivan Hewitt, TELEGRAPH (UK)
