Tomorrow I was Different Yesterday

Mousonturm Studio 1

Performance

As Christoph Schlingensief once said, “To remember is to forget”. But what happens when you remember your own life? Does one’s biography become hazy when told to oneself or to others? In “Tomorrow I was different yesterday”, four performers between the ages of 64 and 76 explore perspectives on their own lives and how these perspectives change over time. The focus is on the self(dis)narratives of four life trajectories, which are physically evoked and unfolded in choreography and words in order to draw on them for possible future contexts. The performance inquires into a genuinely female perspective on one’s own life and into the tensions between different generations of female characters. The team of three theatre craftspeople will create an evening from interviews and authentic as well as fictitious biographical material.
