Ibaaku defines himself as a sound poet exploring the potentials of audio through collaborative and cross disciplinary work with other artistic fields. His hybrid audio-visual set will be part of the opening of ‘Bodies, un-protected’: “We are accident-minded doers who seek to reshape Dakar for its people and the world. We seek to use creativity as an incantatory song to transform the experience of everyday life and to revive the sense of community in urban Dakar through memory and art. We believe in the mystique of collaboration and the potential of creativity to transform the city’s individual and nuclear projects into a more awakened, fertile and constantly reborn space. We are working to restore the link between our urban space and its mythology and creativity. The invisible is present.” (Ibaaku)
