Noch mehr Wege zum Ruhm. Robert Gernhardt and his Laureates. With Elsemarie Maletzke and Andreas Maier

Reading

What Robert Gernhradt used to do with the components of classical poetry, Elsemarie Maletzke, Gernhardt prize winner 2009, does with crime novels: in Giftiges Grün, she juggles with the rules of the genre, circumventing and reassembling them with so much wit that something new necessarily emerges.

Andreas Maier received the prize in the same year as Maletzke – for his eleven-novel project Ortsumgehung, both an autobiography, coming-of-age novel and a documentation of local history and mentality, which was highly praised by critics. The third part of the series Die Straße was released in 2013.
