1. Offenbacher Seefestspiele – Pre-Opening

Offenbacher Hafen

Performance/Concert/Installation

Wastelands, puddles, concrete, wood, four weeks to prepare and nine artists attending – these are the ingredients of the 1. Offenbacher Seefestspiele. The YRD.Works collective transforms the yard in front of Kressmann-Halle, an exhibition hall that they have opened one year ago in the Offenbach habour, into a utopian space with a four-piece series performed in a hybrid mix of water basin, walk-in sculpture and stage. Artistic accomplices: the music duo Les Trucs – best known for experiments with electronic devices and acoustic ready-mades – and the contact Gonzo collective, shocking audiences from New York to Tokyo with their playfully breakneck performances. Together, they uncover the fantastic potential lying dormant under the harbour.

Installation/ Performance/ Music*German, English, Japanese* By and with: contact Gonzo (Takuya Matsumi, Keigo Mikajiri, Yuya Tsukahara, NAZE), Les Trucs (Charlotte Simon, Zink Tonsur), YRD.Works (David Bausch, Yacin Boudalfa, Ruben Fischer)
