For over 50 years, the Senegalese orchestra Baobab has been on stage and has long since established itself as one of the most popular bands in and outside Africa.

Their epic story begins in the heart of Dakar’s medina in the late 1960s and stretches across the globe into the 21st century, with an extraordinary group of singers and musicians from across the continent and a groundbreaking blend of Afro-Latin American styles, international pop, traditional griot music and a nightclub atmosphere of smooth, sweet rhythms.
