“I enjoy watching trees and birds a lot, especially when in flight. Sometimes I would rather be an animal than a human being, but I have hay fever, am allergic to certain animals, fruits and nuts. What does than mean? Why are we stuck between nature and artificiality, between culture, art, entertainment, science, genetic engineering and robotics?” In fact, Mikko Hyvönen covers all these fields in his dance solo Organic Synthetic (Sat., 11.10., Sun. 12.10.), with video-clip brevity, trailer intensity and the skilled splitting of mind and body that has long since become a second skin.
