Brazilian artists and activists employ a range of strategies to counter the dangers of democracy being undermined, the increasing strength of the right and corruption within the leading parties. The themes of this lab include the occupation of public spaces and opposition to gentrification, twerking as a gesture of empowerment and resistance, the vibrant LGTBQA movement, body politics, feminism and microeconomics.
