Performance/Theater

For his monumental project PUZZLE (a,b,c), which will premiere in Frankfurt during this year’s Book Fair, Felipe Hirsch – one of Brazil’s best known contemporary theatre directors – invited 25 Brazilian authors born after 1960 to supply material. He then selected around half of these dramatic or narrative texts as the basis for a triptych of pieces that are related in terms of content, but independent from one another in terms of form: mosaic or puzzle pieces, which are assembled and taken apart again by the actors, choreographers, musicians and video artists in a kind of theatrical pulp fiction process.
