Reclaim Your City – Die soziale Frage des Wohnens

Mousonturm Saal

Bar & Party/Diskussion/Symposium

The housing issue is back – in the cities and in political debates. Especially in prospering big cities and metropolitan areas, rising rents, exploding real estate prices and a growing housing shortage are ample cause for worry. The consequences are gentrification and social segregation. But how can we create sustainably affordable housing? And how can the social housing issue be conflated with ideas of urban development? As part of the series “A City for All”, this conference touches on issues from social housing conflicts up to the concrete shape of urban coexistence. In an interdisciplinary conversation between academia and politics, we search for approaches and potential solutions to the future of the social city.
