Gregor Schwellenbach/Sam Aaron

(DE/GB)

Repetitive Beats and Repetitive Conditionals

Mousonturm Saal

Concert

In the evening, the symposium continues musically with a fourth panel and two concerts: composer, inventor and software developer Sam Aaron uses tools of his own invention and a tiny computer to improvise and reprogram classic pieces of electronic dance music live.  Composer and multi-instrumentalist Gregor Schwellenbach plays classic works of electronic dance music very undigitally with his hands and an instrument, which was first conceptually described in an official document in 1397 and has since remained largely unchanged. Joining Aaron and Schwellenbach in the discussion moderated by Peter Kim beforehand, is musician, developer and sound designer Robert Henke.

Panel in English.

Curation: Sebastian Oschatz * Afterwards Tanz in den Mai.
