They are back! Last year, Florentina Holzinger and Vincent Riebeek delighted Frankfurt with pieces such as Kein Applaus für Scheiße and Spirit. Now, the choreographer duo look back on stars of the historical dance avant-garde: for Schönheitsabend (An Evening of Beauty), they appropriated the orientalist Ballets Russes masterpiece SHÉHÉRAZADE, in which Vaslav Nijinsky and Ida Rubinstein’s merged madness and ecstasy with explicit eroticism. An absurd love story that transverses dance history.

Biography
Vincent Riebeek
Florentina Holzinger & Vincent Riebeek (AT/NL) studierten beide Choreografie an der School for New Dance Development (SNDO) der Amsterdamse Hogeschool voor de Kunsten. Ihr erstes gemeinsames Duett Kein Applaus für Scheiße wurde beim Bâtard Festival in Brüssel 2010 als große Entdeckung gefeiert und tourte auf zahlreichen internationalen Festivals in Europa. Spirit feierte im Oktober 2012 bei CAMPO Gent Premiere und wurde beim 100º Festival als „Beste HAU-Produktion“ ausgezeichnet. Wellness schloss die Trilogie ab, die am Mousonturm 2014 erstmals zusammenhängend gezeigt wurde.
