and performer Erika Stucky – and now she ventures beyond her Swiss yodelling past to her roots in American Blues. Back to simple songs, to authentic emotion without the sugar icing: Stucky sings the Blues! The reference to Billie Holiday’s milestone “Lady Sings the Blues” is no coincidence. Stucky adds a new project to her biography: “The music you grow up with, you have it in you, that’s what you draw on. What you ‘ate’ musically as a child, you sweat out as an adult.” But the line-up of her band is already one step outside the classical world of Blues. She will not be accompanied by a standard formation of guitar, bass and drums, but by two top-class British guitarists: Terry Edwards and Paul Cuddeford.
