If you like unusual songwriters and bands, you’re sure to find them in the Icelandic music scene. Over the last years, Sóley Stefánsdóttir, member of the band Seabear, stands out from this pool of Nordic eccentricity with distinctive Indie-pop compositions. Happily, her label convinced Sóley to begin a solo career, which she quickly and internationally successfully launched with two albums. With her amazing voice, fragile and strong, the multi-instrumentalist explores dream-like, mysterious parallel worlds and encounters inner demons, as on her current album Ask The Deep with songs partly inspired by poetry.
