Solo für Lea

Mousonturm Saal

Dance

Frankfurt last hosted Berlin choreographer Isabelle Schad and Laurent Goldring with their choreography “Collective Jumps” during the German Dance Platform 2016.  Now she returns with a piece that again showcases her unusual choreographic approach – one that is deeply embedded in the corporeal and simultaneously imbued with influences from the visual arts. In “Solo for Lea”, Schad continues exploring the relationship between body, movement and image to create an intimate piece for the unique dancer that is Lea Moro: Schad re-organizes the dancer’s deconstructed body and plays with analogies and formal aspects of cubism, as well as Picasso’s drawings composed of a single line. The result is a dance portrait, which plays with and reveals the specific features of Moro’s body and its rhythms, contours, colours and energies.
