Swiss singer/songwriter Sophie Hunger assembles impressions and thoughts into poetic chansons, which she performs with a compelling presence to smart folk music with leanings towards rock and jazz. She is an all-rounder, who moves back and forth from guitar to piano as confidently as between English, French and (Swiss) German. During her last concert at Mousonturm, her versatility and musicality catapulted the audience in a state of euphoria – “and herself right with them”. (F.A.Z.)
