Stereo Total (D)

Mousonturm Saal unbestuhlt

Concert

They are two and their songs are often no longer than 2 or 3 minutes long. They guarantee a wide variety of style with their excursions into the regions of punk, rock ’n’ roll, rockabilly, disco, electro and last, but not least: chanson. The new album is entitled Cactus versus Brezel and explores the subject of strong women and weak men (“Nympho Maniaque”), dedicates a song to Alice Schwarzer (“Das Monstrum”), one to pop art (“Pixelize Me”) and also one to the music, played in village discos. Together, Françoise Cactus, best-selling author and visual artist, and Brezel Göring, who plumbs the depths as a musician of both high culture and subculture with such diverse outfits as the Elbipolis Barock Orchestra and punk/electro bands, create wonderfully entertaining hits with seemingly simple and contradictory means.
