’68 turns 50 and the children of the “children of Marx & Coca Cola” now have children or their own. They will learn about the year 1968 in the same way that earlier generations did about the year 1848, as Hannah Arendt assumes: “Failure as Chance!” Yet it is precisely those failed revolutions, which leave traces and establish an ‘invisible republic’. What did they say about 1848? “A spectre is haunting Europe…” And so andcompany&Co. set out this spring in search of an imaginary movement, whether in Frankfurt, Sofia, Berlin, Prague or at the very spot of Dany Cohn-Bendit’s secret border crossing on the Bridge of Europe in Kehl. At the places of the uprising, they will repeat those past events as ritual. The borderless Europe – is it that ‘invisible republic’? In form of a lecture-concert-performance, andcompany&Co. present a preview of their revolution revue “INVISIBLE REPUBLIC”, to be shown at Mousonturm at the end of the year.

andcompany&Co.
Das Künstler*innenkollektiv andcompany& Co. wurde 2003 von Alexander Karschnia, Nicola Nord und Sascha Sulimma in Frankfurt am Main gegründet. Gemeinsam bilden sie als Ko-Regisseur*innen ein Netzwerk, zu dem stets neue Künstler*innen unterschiedlichster Disziplinen stoßen, um an der Schnittstelle von Theater & Theorie und Politik & Praxis zu arbeiten. andcompany&Co. haben ihre Basis am HAU Hebbel am Ufer, weitere Koproduzenten sind u.a. das FFT Düsseldorf und das Künstlerhaus Mousonturm Frankfurt am Main. Die Gruppe ist regelmäßig auf internationalen Theaterfestivals zu Gast, darunter das Kunstenfestivaldesarts, Festival Impulse und Steirischer Herbst. Neben den Theaterperformances entwickelt andcompany& Co. regelmäßig Lecture-Konzerte, Stückentwicklungen mit Ensemble-Schauspieler*innen sowie Hörspiele. Das WDR Hörspiel “Orpheus in der Oberwelt: Eine Schlepperoper” wurde beim Prix Europa als bestes europäisches Hörspiel 2015 ausgezeichnet. Am Mousonturm waren „Orpheus in der Oberwelt: Eine Schlepperoper“ (2014), „Warpop Mixtake Facebook Volxfuck Peace off! ‘Schland of Confusion“ (2016), „Not my revolution, if…: Die Geschichten der Angie O.“ (2017) „Imaginary University: Karl Marx, Lewis Carroll&Co.“zu sehen bzw. zu hören. Im Dezemebr 2018 war ihr Stück “Invisible Republic: #stilllovingtherevolution” am Mousonturm zu sehen.
