Koohestani, a regular guest at Mousonturm, has enriched and delighted the international theatre scene for more than 20 years

everyday-drama at a Teheran primary school for girls with a truly universalist dimension.

Biography
Amir Reza Koohestani / Mehr Theatre Group
Amir Reza Koohestani wurde 1978 in Schiras im Iran geboren. Seine Faszination für Film und Performance führt ihn schließlich zum Schreiben. Sein Stück Dance on Glasses (2001), mit dem er fünf Jahre lang tourte, verlieh Koohestani seinen internationalen Ruf als einer der bedeutendsten und bekanntesten iranischen Theatermacher der neuen Generation. Seine jüngste, am Mousonturm gezeigte Produktion Timeloss, enstand 2013 als Auftragsarbeit für das Festival Actoral in Marseille, die er dort auch selbst inszenierte.
