SUPERQUADRA:FFM

Mousonturm Saal

Performance

In the Tower of Babel, in the ideal cities of the late Middle Ages and even in contemporary US-America, we find draft outlines of new worlds. Leonardo da Vinci, Albert Speer and Walt Disney worked feverishly on the axes of their new orders. Over centuries, their drawing boards saw the emergence of systems and calculations, spawning ideal proportions and conditions. Yet at some point something occurred that simply had to happen: within the Super-Quadra 67 building complex, Oskar N. has begun implementing architectural improvements. The building begins to mutate bit by bit. “SUPERQUADRA” presents the chronology of the reconstruction on stage as a science-fiction film. In a mash-up of past visions, the performance speaks of the end of architecture with F. Wiesel – storytellers, spatial constructers and winners of the Ponto Performance Prize 2017 – at Mousonturm for the very first time.
