For im*possible bodies, Künstlerhaus Mousonturm is cooperating with the Frankfurt initiatives “SUQ – solidarity, unsolicited, queer” – “Queergehört”, a student-organized queer lecture series, “RaSch – Ranzfurter Schwestern“ and further local activists. Together, we seek to hold queer debates that critically and constructively deal with diversity, sexualities and social-political contexts. To this aim, SUQ is hosting the panel “Warum wir es uns nicht leisten können, in der Mitte zu stehen” (“Why we can’t afford the middle-ground”): a discussion at the crossroads of anti-racism and queerness by a diverse panel about why we need political activism instead of constantly aspiring to be part of “normality”. During the festival, there will also be further shared workshops, round tables and networking opportunities.
