Bringing the year to a close, the LOKAL Listener hosts an encounter with Sascha Wild. Born in 1976, the Frankfurt musician has composed music for theatre and film for years, most recently for the Theater Willy Praml’s “Das Erdbeben in Chili”. As a drummer and sampling artist, he appears in a wide variety of projects e.g. with Karl Bartos of Kraftwerk. “Mr. Wild”, as he likes to call himself as an artist, is moreover a music pedagogue. He is head of the “Jazz and Improvised Music in School!” project at the Polytechnic Society, teaches at the Frankfurt Music School and is currently writing his own drum school. In addition to drums, many electronic devices define his musical compositions and his live performances, so he will be meeting up with Gregor Praml for an electro-acoustic music set.
