Elischa Kaminer/Alex Paxton

Resurrection Games Vol. II: To Paint over and to make sense – Part II

Mousonturm Saal

Concert

A journey through queer pop, improvised and Yiddish music. Part II remembers old songs and traces what tenderness can still be found in last night’s ruins and wafts of fog. In the remnants of the previous evening, reminiscences from Part I condense into a queer pop concert of playful improvisations and arrangements for synthesiser, voice and trombone.

With a delicate touch, the two exceptional musicians Elischa Kaminer and Alex Paxton navigate the audience through numerous emotional states.

Elischa Kaminer’s eclectic artistic practice spans music theatre, experimental music, queer pop and Yiddish music. A variety of autobiographical, fictional and liturgical references characterise the fine compositions, which are often created in close collaboration with his collective of accomplished musicians and performers.

Part I can be experienced the evening before (23 March) at 8.30 pm. Mapping Memories – All Together Now presents the music theatre piece in its entirety for the first time in Frankfurt.

Admission free. Please register via email to dramaturgie@mousonturm.de, stating your name and the number of seats required.
