Unlikely Creatures (1) – who we are

Mousonturm Saal

Performance/Choreography/Dance

Whether its pounding club beats, an endless wardrobe or vivid manipulations of our bodies: we never quite fit. In our images and constructions of people. Instead, we become something else, a neither/nor. Something is always left over, a too much, a too little; it pushes us onward. Since the renaissance, the art of choreography constantly gives us ideas for new solutions: suns, fairies, monsters, nymphs or planets – the strangest beings populate our stages. In their usual quietly stubborn way and in their own dance and body study, the duo Verena Billinger and Sebastian Schulz together with their fantastic ensemble pose the question what Unlikely Creatures correspond to us and our image of people here and today.
