In light of disastrous ecological and geopolitical developments, who still dares to draw up utopias – ideal forms of community and action? Visual and performance artist Ibrahim Quraishi nevertheless or precisely therefore transforms the ground floor of the Mousonturm into a research facility for utopian thought. The venture is less about abstract concepts and more about concrete ways of searching for new sustainable and self-responsible forms of coexistence. Visitors, as well as international guests from the fields of economics, music, performance and religion are invited to assemble for talks, workshops and performances in an oasis centreing around two fish tanks – the basis for an alternative form of food production.
